Gamers vs Corona

When the venues closed, the Tunisian gaming scene came to a halt. The Tunisian E-sports Federation and North Events set up Gamers vs Corona to keep it alive, with a fully online competition. We ran three disciplines in parallel from the same structure: registrations, brackets, account verification, schedules and refereeing, coordinating everything remotely. Online organisation has its own constraints — disconnections, disputes with no witness on site, players spread across the country — and every case was settled on evidence. The event was put together on a short deadline, because the whole point was to respond to the moment. It is the project that confirmed North Events could operate online just as well as on site.
